i finally finished my new swap!!
JDM B18C with JRSC/custom air to liquid intercooler!!
All tuning was on a Mustang Dyno ( wich is about 10-15 percent lower than Dynojet's)
best dynorun was peak at 266 hp and 189ft/lbs
but we were maxing out at over 94% duty cycle on my 450cc injectors!!
so we settled for 250 WHP and 183Lbs/Tq at 90% duty cycle, the peak TQ was at 3750 rpm.
all runs were made with regular water in intercooler, after about 3 hours on dyno ,water was luke warm!
ill try to somehow find/fit a bigger reservoir and ice the water down!!
i also need a new coil and ignition amp, my jacobs units were actually crapping out while tuning on the dyno!!( took over 30 mins to start the car, no spark)
all in all i'm quite happy for now!!
Tuning was done by Chris Tapp at www.tappauto.com
i have some pics of engine but dont know how to post!!
ill also scan the dyno sheet later this week!!
if someone can post for me, PM me , thanks.

I don't know how to get the pictures to post up in the thread , but I can set up a link to them that can be viewed if you e-mail them to me.
I'm interested in seeing what you've done - what kind of pulley setup/boost are your running? I should have dyno results of my new setup next week as well, although it's a lot simpler.

wow, 266 on a mustang dyno!
was this on the b18c1 or c5?
and how much boost were you running. those are some really good numbers, espically for having such low compression.

Wetdream,
I believe his compression is STOCK. His old SOHC engine had low compression (his signature still reads 8.6:1 in a D16Z6 SOHC VTEC).
Either way, I agree with you: GOOD NUMBERS.

I have heard that before... but I have also seen dyno plots comparing a car on a Mustang dyno and a DynoJet, and the difference was less than 2%.
My suggestion: Take the car to a DynoJet and see !!!

yeah i don't buy into the hype about mustang dyno variations to much ethier. A friend of mine actually baselined the same when he went for a second tune to tune his cam gears. His first tune was done on a dyno jet and his second was on a mustang dyno. But then again i don't really recall the temp outside the time of his dynos, so maybe thats not such a good example. Anyway, awesome numbers no matter what dyno. What psi was this at? What was the baseline?

the difference can be quite large. It varies though. Why? With a Mustang dyno you can play with the setting to make the dyno read higher without anyone knowing. A dynojet you cannot do that.
In reality you cannot compaire dyno numbers between different brand dyno machines or even with the same brand dyno companies because their are tons of factors that need to be taken into consideration (elevation, air pressure, humidity, air quality, temp, ect...) all those factors mess with the dyno number. If you want a better way to compaire your power to others, I would suggest at the very least dynoing on a Dynojet 248C machine since thats the most common machine people use and is one of the only machines where you cannot mess with the reading too much. Also make sure you get a SAE print out and maybe even a Actual (uncorrected) print out for reference to others plots on the internet.

I dont think the difference can be that big.
But still, 266 whp is damn good regardless. Anything more, would just be shitty to drive around the street.
BTw, I will post my dyno figures tomorrow for mine. if anyone can instruct how to post images, it would help both of us out
